1. Student Membership (SCPSTP)

The Student Membership is for any person enrolled in the CIPSTM USA member program, and such person is for the purpose of ascertaining the professional designation of either GCPSTP or ACPSTP.

2. Graduate Membership (GCPSTP)

Graduate Membership is for any person who has newly graduated from tertiary institutions with a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. Such a person has either no working experience or working experience of less than 1 year.

On completion of the training for Graduate Membership and passing the required examinations, and upon approval of the Examining Board, the person will become a Graduate Member and be granted the right to use the designation of Graduate Chartered Port, Shipping and Transport Professional (GCFP).

The total fee for Graduate Membership is $200.00.

3. Associate Membership (ACPSTP)

Associate Membership is for individuals who hold a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and have relevant working experience of above 1 year but less than 5 years.

Upon completion of the training for Associate Membership, passing the required examinations, and approval by the Examining Board, the person will become an Associate Member and be granted the right to use the designation of Associate Chartered Port, Shipping and Transport Professional (ACPSTP).

The total fee for Associate Membership is $300.00.

4. Full Membership (MCPSTP)

Full Membership requires holding the designation of Associate ACPSTP for a minimum of 1 year, as well as attending the Professional Continuous Development Training for at least 2 times. Alternatively, a person without ACPSTP but with a Bachelor’s degree and relevant working experience of 5 years or more, but less than 10 years, can also apply for Full Membership.

Upon meeting the requirements and approval of the Examining Board, the individual will be granted the right to use the designation of Member Chartered Port, Shipping and Transport Professional (MCPSTP).

The total fee for Full Membership is $400.00.

5. Fellow Membership (FCPSTP)

Fellow Membership requires either being a Full Member of CIPSTM USA or occupying a top managerial position with at least 10 years of relevant working experience.

Upon approval by the Examining Board, the individual will be granted the right to use the designation of Fellow Chartered Port, Shipping and Transport Professional (FCPSTP).

The total fee for Fellow Membership is $500.00.

6. Doctoral Fellow Membership (Dr. FCPSTP)

To qualify for Doctoral Fellow Membership, the applicant must be a Full Member of CIPSTM USA or have a high professional standing and occupy a senior managerial position with at least 12 years of relevant working experience.

Upon approval by the Examining Board, the individual will be granted the right to use the designation of Doctoral Fellow Chartered Port, Shipping and Transport Professional (Dr. FCFP).

The total fee for Doctoral Fellow Membership is $600.00.

7. Corporate Membership

Corporate Membership is available to corporate organizations. Once conferred with corporate membership, organizations can sponsor their employees at a discounted rate.

Upon approval by the Examining Board, the organization will be granted Corporate Membership.

The fee for Corporate Membership is $700.00.

8. Honorary Fellow Membership (Hon. FCPSTP)

Honorary Fellow Membership is conferred to individuals who have significantly contributed to the growth and development of their organizations or sectors.

Upon approval by the Examining Board, the individual will be granted the right to use the designation of Honorary Fellow Chartered Port, Shipping and Transport Professional (Hon. FCPSTP).

The fee for Honorary Fellow Membership is $600.00.
